The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) tomorrow September 18, at exam centres across the country.
The exam will have two papers.
The papers will have multiple choice answer questions. They will consist of topics related to child development and pedagogy, language, maths and environment studies. Both the papers will have 150 questions each.
The first paper will be for those candidates who want to be a teacher of Class 1 to Class 5. The second paper will be for those candidates who want to teach Class 6 to Class 8. If you want to teach both the classes then you have to attempt Paper I as well as Paper II
The examination will be conducted in two shifts for exams based on paper number.
Paper I will be conducted from 2.00 pm to 4.30 pm
Paper II will be conducted from 9.30 am to 12.00 pm
The CBSE has released the admit cards for the CTET examination 2016 in August.
The CTET exam is conducted to recruit eligible candidates for the post of school teachers in Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Central Tibetan Schools and other government schools, including those falling under the Union Territory areas, namely, Lakshadweep, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Chandigarh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Daman and Diu as well as Delhi-NCR.
Apart from these, the CBSE is responsible for conducting various exams across the country such as the Class 10 and Class 12 Board exams for schools affiliated with the Central Board, medical entrance exams such as NEET, etc.
